Tree Trimming

Regular pruning is what keeps a tree putting energy into strong new growth instead of spreading it across dozens of weak branches. It is also how you get dead and hazardous limbs down before they come down on their own.

Timing decides how much good the work does. For most trees here, late winter is the window — cutting while the tree is dormant means it wakes up ready to grow rather than spending spring recovering from the cut.
